The website is is aimed at delivering an easy to browse and and user-friendly interface to afford users access to data, information, policies and procedures pertaining to processing. Medivacs when they come for treatment in Cape Town, and are accommodated at the TDCH including the general planning and logistics management of the function.
- The site consists of 2 sections being a public information section which is information in the public domain and there to serve as an information resource and help with any questions.
- An Administrator Back end which is very secure and requires login user credentials to access and only accessed by stakeholders as part of project managent tool serving them in the functions

Primary Functions

TDCH House
Facilities Management – Maintenance cleaning, upkeep and general condition monitoring and report necessary repair with project plan and scheduling.
Stores management – maintenance and Cleaning consumables, Procurement.
Fault Reporting and contingencies.
Cleaning Staff Coordination, deployment and scheduling
Emergency Maintenance and repairs project management readiness.

MediVac Well-being
Forecast Medivac capacity variables with docking vessels.
Allocate and shift current occupancies to accommodate special needs and groupings of family units.
Schedule cleaning for the preparation of the rooms and comfort for the MediVacs checkin.
Aquire starter packs for arrival.
Prepare for food allowances for each MediVac.

Immigration and Visa
Standard Medivac visits to South Africa, are easily processed on arrival. alternative applications like Visa extensions and Emergency Travel document are more challenging due to the process encompassing digital platforms [still being tested] and third parties causing the outcomes to be beyond our control.
We are engaging role players for these functions and fervently pursue an automated efficient solution. Our best effort is to be prepared by ensuring all documentation and information is kept on file and readably available when required.

Medical Care Management
Familiarising and understanding each MediVacs treatment requirements.
Planning the treatment process identifying assets, facilities, specialists and doctors required.
Coordinating and managing appointments and bookings.
Managing and maintaining medical reports, X-rays and related documents.
Procuring medication and prescriptions.

Docking and Sailing
Confirm Passenger lists of in and outbound voyages.
Assess the logistical support required for cargo and baggage handling.
Liaison with the Ships owners to confirm vessel arrival or departure times.
Processing all passengers through immigration.
Identifying any urgent medical emergencies on docking and any other special MediVac arrival or departure procedures.
Ensure appropriate harbour access permits and documentation.

Finance and Administration
The administrative and financial management of all these functions his a primary comonent of ensuring the TDCH continues to run smoothly.
This unctions assist with planning and reporting of our business unit.
The TDCH is over seen by the TDCH House Committee on the Island with financial management reported to the Finance department on Tristan Da Cunha.
